Who we are
Performantic Ltd is the controller of the personal data described here. We're registered in England & Wales, company number 14389359, at 63 Conduit Road, Stamford, PE9 1QL. Email harry@performantic.co.uk about anything on this page.
What we collect when you get in touch
When you send us a voice note, a typed message or the contact form, we receive:
- your name and email address, and your business name and phone number if you give them
- your voice recording or message, and any files you add
- your browser's user agent, and whether you spoke or typed
What happens to it
Your enquiry is emailed to us and stored so we can reply. Nobody transcribes your recording and no AI listens to it or reads your message. We use it to answer you and, if we go on to work together, to start that work. We don't add you to a mailing list and we don't sell or share it.
Our lawful basis is your request: you've asked us to get back to you about possible work (UK GDPR, Article 6(1)(b)).
Keeping the site safe
To stop the forms being flooded by bots, we check each submission with Cloudflare Turnstile, which sees your IP address and some details of your browser. We also count requests per IP address for a short time to limit how often anyone can send. Those counts expire on their own within a day. Our basis here is our legitimate interest in keeping the site working (Article 6(1)(f)).
How visitors use the site
We use Microsoft Clarity to see how people use the site, such as where they click and how far they scroll. It runs without cookies, so it can't recognise you from one page or visit to the next. Anything typed into our forms is hidden from it. Our basis is our legitimate interest in improving the site (Article 6(1)(f)).
Cookies
We don't set any cookies, and Clarity is configured not to set any either.
Who processes it for us
We use a small number of suppliers. Each processes data only on our instructions.
- Amazon Web Services hosts the site and stores enquiries, in London
- Google Workspace carries our email
- Cloudflare runs the Turnstile bot check
- Microsoft runs Clarity
- Google Fonts serves the site's typefaces, which means your browser asks Google for them
Data outside the UK
Some of these suppliers may process data in the US or the EU. Where they do, it's covered by the UK's adequacy regulations, including the UK–US data bridge, or by the UK's standard contract clauses.
How long we keep it
If an enquiry leads to work together, we keep it for as long as we work together and for six years after, the period we need for contract and tax records. If it doesn't, we delete it within two years of our last contact. Files you added but never sent are deleted automatically after two days.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, delete it, limit what we do with it, or stop using it. Email harry@performantic.co.uk and we'll reply within a month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.
